WIN98SE hangs at the splash screen at boot up Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at 3:10 pm Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Jeri (3 messages posted) The pc I am working with now has WIN98SE plus on it. When it boots up, it gets to the first splash screen and then stays there for 2-3 minutes. After that it will finish loading. Almost the same in reverse, I get the windows shut down, a blue screen, and there it sits until it feels like finishing the task. I have tried different settings in BIOS power mgt but nothing seems to effect this.
