Can I download a driver from one system and load it in another?

I have 2 computers. One is online. The other is Win98 and offline. It is offline because I'm unable to load the driver disk for my DSL into it because of the 1 bit Display driver (discussed in another string above). Can I find a better driver, thus updating my monitor driver, by downloading the driver on my ONLINE PC, save it, and then load it into the 98? Hmmm. Help. Thanks
