"discussed in another string above"
Let me expand on Bob Wells' "WHAT?"
According to Annoyances you've never ever posted a message before. It says "Sammy
(1 messages posted)". That includes this one. So I deduce you've changed to a new
screen name.
You've referred to the "string" (I'm going to guess you mean "thread") "above" but
did not provide a link.
You have a DSL modem but are concealing the name of it. You have a DSL service but
are concealing the name of it.
Maybe you're trying to entertain us, figuring we would all enjoy a good game of detective
mystery solving. So I'm going to guess that it was Professor Plum in the Conservatory
with the Candlestick.
Bob Wells' "WHAT?" may also refer to the "1 bit driver". I've never heard of such
a thing. If the specifications for your DSL modem say that it can be run on Win98,
then it can be.
In direct answer to your question, Yes, a driver is a file. Yes, you can copy a
file from one computer to another.
