I'm s single user on Win 98 SE computer. I'd like 2 get rid of the Login password @ startup. Here is what I did: 1. Loged on typing the user name with no password & clicking OK. 2. Start / Settings / Control panel. 3. Clicking Network icon / Configuration tab. @ Primary Network Logon Selecting Windows Logon. Clicking OK. Responding No to Restart request. 4. Clicking passwords icon (@Control panel). @ User Profiles tab, checking the 1st option (all users of...use the same...). @ Change Password tab, clicking Change Windows Password (I didn't have password) & making sure all fields R blank. Clicking OK & OK. 5. Making sure, in Windows folder, no .pwl files existed. 6. Restarting Windows 98. The Login password appears as usual !!! What should I do ?
