I have Windows 98fe and zone alarm version 5.5.062.011. Of late every time I boot up the cursor freezes when the desktop is loading either at or after the zone alarm splash screen has loaded. Ctl Alt Del doesnt work and I have to press the reset button. The system then goes through the improper shut down procedure and then boots up ok with zone alarm loaded. This whole process then repeats itself every time I reboot the computer. I have tried reinstalling an earlier version of the registry and reinstalling zone alarm and whilst this seems to help the system keeps reverting back to the freezing on boot up. any ideas?
