Thanks for your suggestion, Keith. I did a hard drive search but came up with nothing. My sound card is ESS Technology (ESS Solo-1). Device Manager displays that my CD Drive is functioning properly but after it rotates a minute, I get the same error message and it stops. By the way - my CD ROM is Liteon CD-ROM LTN 323. I appreciate your answering my message the first time. If you can think of anything else - please take a minute to post it. Thanks.
