Thanks for your input Ed. I tried to follow all your instructions, however the shell32
brought up the following message:
Shell32.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found.
DllRegisterServer may not be exported, or a corrupt version of Shell32.dll may be
in memory.
Consider using PView to detect and remove it.
I have no idea what PView is and no idea if it would help me. I thought about copying
that file from another win98 computer but since it's in use whenever windows is running
that wouldn't work. I went ahead and installed the link you gave anyway and it didn't
help though. Not sure if it's related to the shell32 but thanks anyway.
