AVG will still run and work, it just won't be updated with new virus definitions
or program updates. The virus will stay "locked up". It won't be released back
onto the system even if you uninstall the program. It should ask you what you want
to do with it when you uninstall the program, or you willl be able to manually delete
where it stores the files...
AVAST ( http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html ) is still supporting Win 9X
but expect that all AV vendors will stop supporting Win 9X since MS is no longer
updating the system, and Win 9X is less secure than NT systems just by the nature
of it's old design.
