There is an updated Fdisk you can download from Microsoft if you search for it. Or
you can download it from Bootdisk,
near the bottom.
New FDISK
This version of fdisk can partition drives at least up to 180 gig.
Note however that if putting windows98 on a partition larger than 128 gig that the
number of clusters will exceed 4.1 million and scandisk and chkdsk wont work tho
windows otherwise will be fine.
Folks who run windows98 partitions larger than 128 gig have to use third party utilities
to scandisk/chkdsk. Other folks simply make two or more partitions, each one being
128 gig or smaller.
Also note that if formatting in dos you'll see a cosmetic error due to format.com
which says formatting 10.158 or similiar but as you'll note the format will take
a long time and it will still format
correctly.
Kindest regards,
