While Micros~1 is stuck on STUPID
--making it EVER MORE DIFFICULT to install, "activate", and repair an OS--
the Open Source guys are making it easier every day to try theirs.
|Just reset the CMOS to look for the CD drive first and it will boot.

He was going thru all the right steps with the Ubuntu CD;
it appears his Windoze-compatible software failed him--burning the ISO improperly.
(Linux to the rescue again.)

These days, it's hard to find a successful Linux distro
where **Run the OS from the CD** _isn't_ available.
