I am trying to link up my two problem compaq's with a cross cable. I have run into a couple of snags. 1. When I go to share the drives, opening up Windows Explorer and right clicking on the C drive icon, I should see a sharing to click on but do not see this on either computer. All I see is Explore, Open,Find, Format, Create Shortcut, Properties. I have followed instructions from DUXCW.com. Any ideas ? 2. One computer has a 3Com Fast EtherLink XL 10/100MB TX Ethernet NIC (3c905b-TX) card.It does say Ethernet Adapter. The other computer has Ethernet controllor. Is this the same as an adaptor. It is an Intel 21143/2 based 10/100 mbps Ethernet Controller. Both machines are windows 98. Thanks again. Mike
