Make sure the jumpers and cabling on the Hard Drives Drives are correct,

With XP normally all you do is Go to Disk Management. First you have to Delete the three Partitions, once all three are Deleted you make a New One out of the unallocated space.

If that isn't working then I would suspect you got some sort of problem with the Drive or the way it is set up.
