Here's how your post looks:

It appears you made a special effort to format your post
--but that didn't come thru. 8-(
The first 2 paragraphs here are worth reading:

|I have windows 98 installed on an old laptop,
|it has 98 on it because I could [not?] get ME
|(the one the computer is supposed to have) to install.

As has been mentioned several times, ME offers few advantages
(and is widely considered to be *less* stable than 98SE).
If you're really hot to have ME
(and want to get the 9x device drivers for your rig the easy way[1])
--and are willing to spend some $$$:
http://www.google.com/search?q=restoredisks
CAUTION: A "Restore Disk" wipes your HDD; back up your data before using one.
Flea-Bay has also been mentioned.
(Why everyone doesn't think of them first, I don't understand.)
|So here is what I need.
|Either how do I make a disk that the setup will run when the computer is wiped,
|or,
|what is a work around with Me
|to where it will install Me even though I have a previous version of Windows,
|and my ME disk insn't an upgrade disk?!?!?
|
If you REALLY want to *learn* a lot about (an ancient version of) Windoze,
these guys tell you how to get the **good** tweaks that ME included
(without including the unstable junk).

They have LOTS of good Windoze tips & tweaks:

|That or where can I get Windows ME Upgrade edition online for free?
|(I have my own serial, I just don't have a disk)
|
ALL M$ OSes are payware.
As has been mentioned, what you request is over the line for *this* site:

Frankly, these days my preference is for Free Software.
If you have a few bucks for a used 20GB HDD, you can set up a dual-boot system
and have a 21st-Century OS for FREE to see what you've been missing.
(Modern OSes grok FAT16/FAT32, so all your old files will be accessible.)
If you have at least 256MB of RAM, this is good for folks familiar with Windoze,
--and these folks will *deliver* a CD to you, GRATIS.

If your hardware isn't quite so $talwart, this is a tasty Ubuntu-based distro:
(formerly known as Ubuntu Lite)

|Thanks for the support.

No sweat. I like helping folks who make an effort
(like using search engines and formatting their posts).
[1] ...assuming you haven't replaced any hardware.
