re: can't install printer Friday, January 2, 2009 at 11:07 am Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by robwtyler (2 messages posted) When I use the Add Printer wizard (and don't select the "Have Disk" option), the wizard asks me to insert the Windows 98 CD. It begins copying files from the CD, but then pops up a box that says various files can't be found on the CD, which is puzzling, because it also says - in the same dialog - that it's trying to copy from C:\Windows\Options\CABS (it's a drop down - anyone know where it SHOULD be copying from?). The missing files are FINSTALL.DLL, ICONLIB.DLL. UNIDRV.DLL, and associated help files. Any ideas where these are located?
