MSVCR71.DLL Problem? Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 11:25 am Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Zachery Speight (5 messages posted) Hi, I tried to search the board for solutions to my problem, but don't seem to see it, so here goes. Please forgive me if I have missed the answer somewhere here. When I reboot my computer, the message" msvcr71.dll was not found". The thing is, I checked the location---c:\windows\system---and the file is there. So, I renamed it msvcr71old.dll and then downloaded a new one to that location and deleted the old. Rebooted and the same message came up again. Now, the location---c:\programs\yahoo\pager---is the same. It's like my computer is not seeing the two msvcr71.dll files during boot up. I'm running windows 98se and my computer is old as dirt---bought it Nov/1999. Thank you for any help.
