It wanted access to the Net, which is no longer possible for this machine. I reloaded the Media Player. That did nothing. Finally I reloaded Windows 98. That fixed the Media Player problem but killed my flash drive driver. The system crashed every time I tried to reload the universal flash drive driver. Without a flash drive, the system is useless. So I have decided to trash my W98 machine. Should have done it ages ago.
