Occasionally. Mostly, people find me gruff.
It depends a lot on the person; rapport, feedback, and all that.

And I'm reeling from so much great info!!!

Hit the jackpot. 8-)

I actually didn't know how. Never needed to before.
Can you make the font bigger?

If you want to VIEW *all* of the text more easily,
most browsers allow you to do that via CTRL+(plus sign on the numerical keypad)
and do the inverse with CTRL- (also available thru the menus).

If you want to emphasize a particular point in your
post,
that can be done in the markup.

BTW, have you looked at your own posts?

I question your choice of font colors and the ease with which they can be read.
If you are going to use those, a richer color (more saturation) would be good.

I advise folks to set the config to preview posts before submitting them,
--that is, make sure the **No preview (post immediately)** box is NOT
ticked.

My original point about HTML was to get linebreaks / paragraph breaks
so that your post is easy to read--and not a blob;
if you _have_ the *preserve your spacing* box ticked,
*that* will insert all the HTML that is really needed.

Let me note here that you are using the {DIV} tag in your markup
and that this site **doesn't** do Web2.0
--so that's just wasted bytes and a cluttered message body.
(I don't think it's a tag you want anyway.)

You also have some end tags for BOLD--but no beginning tags for those.
Again: clutter and wasted bytes.

IOW, if (as it appears) you're cutting & pasting from an HTML editor,
it's **not** having the desired effect. The opposite, in fact:
it's inserting clutter and pale colors without adding anything useful.

Just typing your text into the dialog box at the forum (with the little box ticked)
is good enough to get what I requested.

Additionally, if you don't *reference* any of the text from the previous post,
there's no need to leave it in.
That is, any previous text that doesn't appear *above* some of your text
should be deleted.
Since this is a *forum* (and not Usenet), it isn't necessary anyway.
For me, blockquoting is a quirk that carried over from Usenet.

I have some questions, but that warning is scaring me!
   %(
It's about freeing up some HD space. Should I start a new thread?

That's a good plan.

There, use the QuickLink button to paste in the URL(s) of any pages you reference.
(Those links will appear at the bottom of the dialog box
and you have to move them to where you want them.)

I prefer it when folks delete the **target=_blank ** part that gets inserted.
