Just wanted to leave some feedback to possibly help others who encounter this error
message that "NTMAPHLP is missing" when you try to use a Flash Drive. After recently
having to reinstall my operating system, my ACP-EP Flash Drive no longer worked and
I got this message that this above file is missing.
The solution is that you must install the driver on windows 98SE for a USB 2.0 Flash
drive to work. This is not necessary if you are using a more recent operating system
but is required for Windows 98SE. Now that raises the question, which driver to use?
You can install a generic driver from this below website that will enable you to
use a USB storage device on any Windows 98SE operating system.
http://www.technical-assistance.co.uk/kb/win98se-usb-mass-storage-drivers.php
The actual application will be called: nusb33e.exe
Click on the link within this page with the type:
Windows 98 SE Generic USB Mass Storage Device Drivers v3.3 - nusb33e.exe
Also to note, after installing the driver from this file and doing a restart, I had
to remove the device from the device manager in My Computer and do another restart
for the software to load and then my flashdrive appeared in my computer icon.
Hope this helps.
