Dear friends, I connected an HP Photosmart 7550 printer to my Windows 98 computer using a USB printer cable. Computer only has 48MB of memory so could not install the driver that came with the printer CD. Installed the driver using Windows hardware wizard. Printer now appears in the Printers tab and is set as default printer. But printer and computer cannot communicate. Cannot print a test page. Nothing happens. In printer properties I see a list of ports but there is no USB port, just COM1, LTP1 etc. Is there a way I can configure a USB port in printer properties and get my printer to use it? Many thanks and regards.
