Note if USB shows up when trying the two installs below. 1. Delete the installed printer. No re-boot. 2. Run setup.exe from C:\Temp\photosmart\enu\9x\Disk1. The path reflects where I unpacked. 3. Test. If no go... 4. Delete the installed printer. No re-boot. 5. Run "add new printer" and choose "have disk". 6. Point to C:\Temp\photosmart\enu\drivers\win9x_me. 7. Test. You might also try running usbready.exe at C:\Temp\photosmart\ccc to check the ports. q. Do you think the Win 98 driver is bad? Or does the computer not have enough memory? a. I doubt the installed driver is bad, but it may not support usb. You may need to get memory or a parallel cable if the printer has a connector. Memory would be your best bet.
