"How to Remove Linux and Install Windows on Your Computer"
8-( Not what was requested.
1) From the OP's description, Windoze has **always** been installed.
2) From the OP's description, all that is desired
is to recover the space for use by Windoze (as part of C:, it appears).
3) M$ produces crap disk tools; anything they have is DESTRUCTIVE in nature.
Any instructions from M$ will reflect that.
3a) The M$ page doesn't say how to fold the space back into an M$ filesystem.
(It's not possible using M$'s crap tools nor using *any* FDISK.)
4) Any useful disk tools for the Windoze ecosystem are payware.
5) Points 3 and 4 do not include GNU tools (which generally use a Linux kernel);
GNU tools are quite flexible (supporting dozens of filesystems)
and are all gratis and libre.
The term "partition editor" figures prominently here.
...and it's a mystery why most payware products even exist any longer.
