Yeah, this is mostly a tempest in a teapot --but it *is* indicative of M$'s willingness to exclude part of its user base and to cavalierly ignore its own flaws. On the flip side of the coin is OpenBSD: an Open Source Software project that is absolutely anal about good code and especially about rapidly fixing those few things that they ever let get out in an insecure/broken state. OpenBSD is in the top tier of any list of highly-secure OSes. In light of Bob Wells' recent post http://annoyances.org/exec/forum/win98/1254034257 about M$IE's FUD (pot; kettle; black) regarding Google Chrome Frame, this is quite telling.
