I've never relied in any onboard video, and seldom accept what is included as onboard
audio. The systems I had when Win98 replaced Win95 had ATI Rage Turbo 8 MB cards
in them, and Creative AWE64 Sound Blasters.
Before the second Pentium was retired, it had a TNT2 with 32 MBs of DDR memory.
I was using a Landline with a dialup 'Net connection. The modem was slower than
the slowest Pentium I ever had, and I didn't get much better on the web until the
past three years or so, and it's an economy package with a reduced speed/bandwidth
version of cable internet.
