I have been traveling the last couple weeks, and the 80 gig Zune I own has had no problems. The Zune overall is the best mp3 player I have had, and it is about 14 months old now. I have gone thru 4 other mp3 players, including two iPods. One Battery died after about 9 months, one had the the Display die, but the music still played, you just couldn't see what the selection was. Rebooting seems to fix many Windows problems.:) I noticed a Firmware update was available for My 80 gig Zune before I went on Vacation. I hate doing that stuff, but gritted My teeth wondering if the Zune would work when done. MS wouldn't seem to let Me add some new songs until I did the Firmware update. My guess is the Zunes that were affected will be updated also. I think the Users who were without their gear for 24 hours survived.
