Macromedia Flash Player 10

Does anyone know how to get Flash Player 10 to work in Windows 9x?
I've been using Flash Player 9 on YouTube for years, but all of a sudden no Flash
videos will play, and it demands that I install Flash Player 10.
But when I try, Windows refuses to install it. According to Google, Flash Player
10 can't be run on Win 9x.
Is there a work-around?

Patch your kernel (with the appropriate 3rd-party extension).

The magical incantation is:
http://www.google.com/search?q=KerenelEx+"Flash.10"+OR+"Flash.Player.10"
...which yields:

No Ed as gewg says you can't run Flash Player 10 on Win9x/ME. Flash Player 9.0.124.0
is the last version to run on that system. I can't watch anything on YouTube at home
because of that.

Thank you gewg_. I've been investigating the links which you kindly provided, and
I think I'm getting the idea.
I found some useful information about the Microsoft Layer for Unicode at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Layer_for_Unicode. Happily,
I already have UNICOWS.DLL installed.

No, gewg has not said that.
The links which he provided have helped me to install Flash Player 10 on my Windows
98SE machine. The key was installing KernelEx (to patch my Win9x kernel): this made use of the Microsoft Layer for Unicode (UNICOWS.DLL), which is still available
as a download from Microsoft.
In any case, I have no trouble running YouTube on my Windows 98SE machine, which
I've been doing for years.
All you need in order to run YouTube in Win98SE is a late version of Flash Player
9, available e.g. from this link: FP_AX_CAB_INSTALLER.exe.
