Jeff Newman's response worked! The ME Kernal import does not work for Win98. I
followed Jeff's instructions and had to uninstall all the audio devices and make
sure the plug and play enumerator was loaded. then I simply reinstalled the drivers
and I got sound. Thank you Jeff.
