Problem after downloading Spybot S&D

After downloading and running Spybot Search & Destroy I am getting an error message
from my Norton AntiVirus stating the following: Norton AntiVirus was unable to start
email protection.
I recovered all the "fixed problems" and still could not get NAV to enable email
scanning. I proceeded to uninstall Spybot S&D but still have the problem with NAV.
Any advice would be appreciated greatly.
