Nulljet, I had a dropper virus cause a similar problem once and didn't find it until
I ran an online scan from trendmicro. It takes a while but it is worth it. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/Another
thing that can cause this is over heating. You may need to get some canned air,open
the case and blow the dust bunnies out. If you have never done it be sure to unplug
the power cord and hold the can upright to prevent the propellant from wetting down
the electrical components. ---jabuck
