I've been running ME on my current sytem (Athlon XP 1600+) for about two years with
zero problems. I've loved ME, and for me it has been very fast and stable. I read
lots of complaints about ME, but its never given me any problems, and has been more
stable even than 98SE was on the same system.
I have ordered some upgrades (new MB/RAM/CPU), and I would like to keep running ME
if I can.
Are there any known problems with ME and the AMD Athlon 64 processor? Here is exactly
what my new components will be.
ASUS A8V Deluxe MB,
Athlon 64 3000+ (Winchester Core),
1 GB Corsair Value Select PC 3200 (2x512).
I will be keeping a couple of ATA hard drives, my vid card (Radeon 9500PRO), a CD-R,
and my modem from my old PC. All of these currently run fine under ME.
I have read a little about possibly needing to tweak the VCache settings in order
to run 1 Gig of RAM, but I haven't heard of any other potential issues with my future
setup.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
