Audit Mode

The Symantec Support Assistant is attributing problems I am having to the fact that
Windows ME is running in Audit Mode. I followed the directions to edit the registry
and correct this, but the files were not there and the problem persists. It is preventing
me from completing my reinstallation of AntiVirus. Does anyone know how to resolve
this?
