Well, I sort of solved my own problem with my removable hardware. it seems that everything
will load up fine and normal if I have the hardware(my digital 8-track)
connected to the computer before I turn it on. But, if I have the computer already
turned on and then connect it,
it won't work. I used to be able to do that, but from now on I'll just have to connect
my hardware in advanced to turning my computer on.
