Try doing a repair job on IE; if it's unrepairable you'll need to reinstall it.
Go into Add/Remove programs in Control Panel. Scroll down to Internet Explorer in
the list (I forget how it's listed). Click the Change-Remove tab - choose Repair
I.E. OK - Yes. If you get a message saying it can't be repaired, you'll need to reinstall
it.
