BackWeb is installed by Kodak's Easy Share software, and possibly by other digicam
software too. According to the BackWeb wesite it's supposed to facilitate using web
based apps when offline. I imagine Kodak and others use it when uploading photos
to photoshops, their own photo sharing site, etc. I have a Kodak camera and found
their software to be quite intrusive so I uninstalled it. More info: http://www.backweb.com/products/
