You may be able to buy the original System Restore Software from the Laptop maker, Popular online Auction sites are good places to find old Windows CD's for 98, or ME. A new XP CD may work, but since you don't have a old WinME CD you would need to buy a Full install XP CD, Check out the Web site of the Laptop maker first to see if they offer Drivers for XP. If they don't then I'm not sure I would waste the money on XP. The Laptop may be crippled without the proper Drivers
