the only floppy back up is what i created from the add/remove program which i have a feeling is useless, i do not have the cd with the windows me program on it, so im guessing there's nothing i can do. the created cd i did from the add/remove programs has the relevant programs on it, 'windows' program's files, etc. thats basically all i have. anyway ed, thankyou for trying to help me, ive just spent $20 on a registry smart program to deal with any errors in my registry, ive as yet to use my system restore, but im waiting on a particular week to try it out, as i need a program called 'final draft7' and my music folder back to do this system restore, and since using this registry cleaner program i havent tried a system restore, i kinda want to do it all in one go, for the two files i mentioned, these two files are important to me, i need the prog 'final draft 7' for work im doing, and my music folder, as i spent hours and years accumulating over 800 and couting songs on it. so they are very important to me, and if this registry cleaner doesnt help, then ive just wasted more money. but ed, thank you verymuch for trying to help. much appreciated.
