Another option (if you need one!) is to download Acrobat Reader 4.0 from Oldversion.com. It's years old, in fact it's the earliest version of the reader to have the modern-style Windows interface; and, because it's a 4MB application as opposed to the 30-odd MB of the later versions, it opens almost instantly and goes out like a light when you exit. And, yes, I'm still waiting to find a PDF file it can't open.
