Defragmenter always stops at 66% Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 10:39 pm Windows Me Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Kiremerwa-Kato Simon (30 messages posted) Every time I attempt to defragment my hard disk drive on my workplace Me computer, it starts OK until it reaches 66% then it stops there.It totally refuses to move from that spot no matter how long I wait. An hour, two hours even half a day, it just hangs there at 66% and gets stuck. Does this mean that only 66% of the files and folders needed to be defragmented or is it trying to tell me something? An explanation of why this behavior takes place will be highly appreciated.
