If only everybody could state their problem as objectively and clearly as you, life would be lot simpler! As opposed to the ones who write in to say, "My computer keeps crashing. Why?" By way of addition to what CK says, though, don't underestimate the likelihood of a bad installation routine... manufacturers are notoriously incompetent at writing their own setup files. If you've ever tried installing a D-Link PCI wireless adapter, without the benefit of expert knowledge, you'll know what I mean.
