Hi again Dan.
Well Win98 doesn't have a logo.sys for the splash screen. It does have Logos.sys
and Logow.sys in the Windows folder these are the log off logos. Its now safe
to turn your computer off and Logow.sys is the Win98 splash screen.
Now I'm not sure what software you've been using to modify these files but the size
is critical, mine are 127Kb.
If you have the WinME CD then use WinZip to open each cab file and check for logo.sys
then extract it to Windows. I've just had a look through all my WinME cab files but
I can't find logo.sys.
|just wonding if i delete logo.sys will the computer start right and work all right
Well many years ago when we were using Win95 at work we used to have clever students
that would open the splash *.sys file with Mspaint and edit it and put their home
made logos and text in there. So we just deleted these files and I don't know how
or why the computer booted up and the splash logo still showed but not the one they
had made the default one.
