Sure it works, as I said. But it then saves the link a second time, after
a delay of about 4 or 5 minutes; and this second copy of the link doesn't
work.
So I typically end up with two links saved on the desktop. And it's not immediately
clear which is the one that will work.
I save links for a wide variety of purposes. I expect lots of people do. And I find
it inconvenient to have all my links saved in Internet Explorer's Favorites folder.
I regularly need to find a link without having to wade through dozens (hundreds!)
in the Favorites folder. So I need to stop IE6 from saving two copies of the link
on the desktop, when I only wanted one (working!) copy.
