Well as I've said it depends if the path is set.

As the A:\ prompt just type in cd c:\windows\command and enter, thats providing 
windows in installed on C: drive. Then just type in scanreg you can forget the restore 
bit that will be shown inside when its running. If you get an error incorrect filename 
or command then scanreg.exe isn't in that folder where it should be.
