Thanks Ron--You suggested reporting my issue to the Windows 2000 link, OK why? My
puter came with a WINDOWS ME Operating system, and I use the word operating very
loosely, when it comes to ME. A linux freind, who really doesn't like WINDOOWS,
Installed 2000 server NT, but did not remove ME, and I was not aware of this till
2000 had a corrupt file and I used ME to go online looking for an answer............I
was quickly reminded why I tried to get rid of ME, itz a real pain.
Now I have 2 OSystems that don't work...........That is as brief as I can be. I
found a tekky that suggested I bring my tower in and he will save any files, like
MY DOCS or whatever I ask and he will clean my HD and install XP and be done with
the whole problem.
Thank you for your suggestion and I would like to hear some other suggestions and
maybe a WHY to yours Ron? With this additional INFO what would be WISE??
All help very much appreciated, TY lar

Hi Larry,
I referred you to the 2000 fourm because Windows Me does not have a \WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG
directory and because when you perform a Google search for SYSTEMced only Windows
2000 operating systems are referenced. :-)
Regards,
Ron
