When starting up, I get this message. Does anyone know why?
I have tried looking for indicator or other applications in my task list but i cannot
find anything.

LoadPowerProfile	rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,loadcurrentpwrscheme	All Users	HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

LoadPowerProfile	rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,loadcurrentpwrscheme	All Users	HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices

The difference is SOFTWARE and Software. Any ideas anyone?

Regards,

Steph

Run MSCONFIG > Startup tab and look for a task called "Indicator".

BTW You posted those two run keys. Surely/hopefully you are starting more than this!

Thanks for the advice.

I had previous to posting the message, tried your suggestion. but indicator is not
listed in my startup or anywhere else on my setup.

And i do/did have many other running ittems. I simply cut and pasted the lines i
am querying.

I have resolved the problem, but only because i developed another problem.

Trying to reset my directories and files so that system restore knows where they
are, i found that i could not access anything on the net. I have since reinstalled
ME. now no error message.

I am now trying to update all my other files and se what starts a problem.

Regards,

Steph
