iexplore search bar

Whenever I open Internet Explorer, I get a search bar across the bottom of the screen (it has the following links: Make Money, Music, Casino, Investing, Travel, Mortgage; 6 drop-down menus and a search field). The font is so big that the 'x' to close it is off the screen. It stays even if I close Internet Explorer and the only way to get rid of it is to hold down ctrl-alt-delete, click on 'Iexplore' and then 'end task'. If anyone knows how to get rid of this I would appreciate it!

You haven't said whether you've ran any spyware cleaning programs, or what you've
done so far. Download and run the CWShredder tool, along with the regular anti-spyware
programs. CWShredder
Close all open browser windows and press FIX to scan and clean.

Install Ad-Aware and SpyBot S&D. Download the latest updates before runnning them.
Boot into Safe mode to run the scans. That way other programs won't be running to
hinder removal. First check in Add/Remove programs and remove any toolbars, and/or
suspicious applications, you didn't install yourself (if possible).
Starting your computer in Safe mode

Ad-Aware SE Personal (Note: Close all open windows before running
either program) Start AW, then in the main window: Click Start - under Select a Scan
Mode tick Perform full system scan. Then deselect 'Search for negligible risk entries'.
Click Next to start the scan. When the scan is finished mark everything for removal
and get rid of them.
 _SpyBot
Search_&_Destroy v1.3 Use the integrated update feature and download
all updates that aren't optional. Run the Default mode scan. Then 'Check All' and
fix everything labeled in RED.

In addition, clear out ALL temp folders: Go into Internet Options - delete TIF and
choose 'delete all Offline content'. Settings - set the size of your TIF folder between
5 - 10 MB. To get rid of any spyware related ActiveX Controls (Downloaded Programs)
 - Choose - View Objects - choose View Details on the toolbar. If any are marked
"unknown" or "damaged", remove them. Remove any you don't recognize or no longer
need. Empty C:\Windows\temp folder and C:\temp folder, if you have one. Empty Recycle
Bin. Reboot normally.

If you still have problems, download 'Hijack This'
Hijack This 1.99.1 Important...Unzip 'Hijack This' into it's own
folder. Example: C:\HJT. It creates backups, and they're automatically saved
in the same location. Close all open windows. Run 'HJT' and Click "Do a system scan
and save a logfile".

It'll automatically open in Notepad. Most of the entries listed are legitimate
or required entries. Don't fix anything, until you know which items to fix. Copy/paste
the entire log here in a post. Before posting, PLEASE select this Option below the
message window, so the log will be properly formatted: Check this box to preserve
your spacing, etc.... For a description of the entries in the log: Merjin- HJT Tutorial

Install SpywareBlaster to help prevent malware infections. It's not a cleaner. Use
the integrated feature to check for and download updates after installing. Enable
all protection, then close it out. It doesns't need to be running to protect your
system. Check for updates frequently:
JavaCoolSoftware.com

It's adviseable to consider using an alternative browser as your main browser. FireFox
(most popular) or Opera are a couple good choices. IE has too many security issues
and is very vulnerable to malware infections and hijackings. Hijackings are very
rare, with other browsers. If you stay with IE, I suggest IE-Spyads, also. For other
tips and suggestions, and for links to malware support forums, check this page:
