oooops Adware!

I recently attempted to upgrade my hotbar tool. Apparently it came with a file, "shopperreport" that seemed to be equipped with adware. Unfortunately all my folders are in a iexplore html format so each time I try to access anything from personal folders (w/ desktop icons) to "control panel, "settings" etc... a dll error occurs and I am not able to access the folder. I'd rather not remove the adware manually. But, due to errors It seems Spybot can never detect all the hijacker, cookie, registry keys "junk" and remove it. Even when I remove what it has detected the problems persist. Am I doing something wrong? What should I do????

Try using Ad-Aware SE and other programs including on line virus scans.
