Open the properties for the NIC on each Vista machine make sure the following are turned off. -QoS Packet Scheduler -IPv6 -Link-Layer Discovery Mapper -Link-Layer Discovery Responder In other words, all the stuff you don't need, unless, of course, you are using IPv6 on your local network.
