Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 5:12 am Windows Vista Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Larry (1 messages posted) On several occasions after Vista updates via the automatic updates feature, I've lost all of my settings after the reboot, such as: My desktop background reverts to the basic Vista; many of the shortcuts on my desktop disappear; I have to reinstall Outlook & setup my email accounts; the sound settings for Vista change, i.e. the sound when I click an icon; I lose my home page tabs & search default in IE7, and I have to run the "Run Once" when I first open IE7; the My Documents folder reverts from where I have it set (second hard drive), to the original location (c:\users\etc . . .).
