"Windows Fix Pack 1"? Are you perhaps referring to Service Pack 1 SP1)? If so, there 
are prerequisites, and certain updates will not install if SP1has not been installed 
first.

If it really is a question of "Fix Pack 1", then please don't have already read this 
reply, as I don't know what that might be.
