If you are running AVG do an un-install in 'SAFE mode' with AVG's special un-install software and then do a re-install. See if that helps you out. I saw another person blame it on UAC, but I would find that out of the ordinary. Check your family security settings. You might have accidentally set them to a highly secure level.
