Question about 'How do I stop Internet Explorer from loading a "home page" when it starts?'

I don't want to completely stop using a homepage (which happens if I use -nohome), I what to stop the hijacking of my homepage. What's the impact of removing %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH% from the profile startup ? This appears to work ??
